HIGH TIMES High Times was the house band at The OK Coral in Sapperton, an old neighborhood in New Westminster, just east of Vancouver. Pictured above is bassist Jim Fraser, drummer Terry, myself, and lead guitarist Doug Havens. For five sets a night, six nights a week we crammed people into the small club's dance floor. The group was led by Doug Havens, and we played a combinations of oldies, current hits, some country and some originals. I played rhythm guitar and piano, and sang. After about a year it was time to move on. The next musical adventure would be Shakedown. |
